Name: John Stokoe
Job title: Performance Analyst
John Stokoe is the Falcons' the performance analyst. The role enatils videoing the games, putting them on to computer and breaking them down in to various sections.
After every game a statistical analysis is produced including each player’s individual contribution, and the coaches use that footage to help formulate a gameplan for future matches. Before each match John also gets footage of the opposition for the coaches and players to use, cutting this up to spot any trends in the way the opposition plays to help with the gameplan.
In addition to all of this John is also the club’s kit man.
John has a degree in actuarial maths after studying in Edinburgh, and has been involved with the Falcons since a very young age - initially operating the score board at Kingston Park as a child.
His dad Malcolm is one of the club's famous names, having twice skippered Gosforth - as it was known then - to victory in the Twickenham final of the John Player Cup.
John himself is an accomplished rugby player, and when Falcons fixtures allow, he regularly turns out at fly half for the amateur Gosforth club at Bullocksteads.
