What is Touch Rugby?
Touch is Rugby’s answer to 5-a-side football – it’s fast, enjoyable, involves no contact and can be played by both young and old, males and females. Touch Rugby is such an easy game to play that even if you have never played rugby before you will have no problem picking it up. In fact around half the participants will have never played rugby before!
It’s a great way of keeping fit or getting fit while enjoying an evening in the summer sunshine with friends enjoying drinks, music & a BBQ. So what are you waiting for?
What’s new?
Following feedback from last year’s competitions, the following changes have been made:
Due to the wide variety of abilities and competitiveness, the competition will be three tiered this year;
Advanced: Detailed Knowledge of all the touch rugby rules. Played touch rugby in the past with good rugby knowledge and skills.
Intermediate: Knowledge of Touch rules, able to pass, catch & run with the ball whilst at a reasonable level of fitness.
Beginners: Little / no knowledge of touch rugby.
Coaching will be available for any team from Falcons Community Foundation Coaching Staff at a mutually convenient time.
Teams will no longer be provided with T-Shirts as many teams prefer to wear their own branded shirts. There is a reduction in entry fee to reflect this.
A refereeing course will once again be established for new and existing referees. Anyone who would like to become involved in refereeing please let me know.
Finals night will once again be included in the entry fee of £185 for the whole season.
Corporate Touch Event - Weds May 6 at Kingston Park
