| Teams from St Mary’s RC Primary School, Ridgeway Primary School, Stanhope Primary School and West Boldon Primary School participated in soggy conditions, yet managed to produce a high standard of tag rugby.
Eventual winners were Stanhope Primary who beat Ridgeway in the final. Many thanks to Planet Trophies of Killingworth who kindly provided the medals and trophies for the finalists.
The EDF Energy scheme enables Falcons Community Foundation staff to deliver coaching in local primary schools. They are also given equipment to continue playing the sport and even be in with a chance to play in a tag rugby demonstration at the EDF Energy Cup Final at Twickenham on Sunday April 15.
