Sage won last year's Touch Rugby League
2 July 2007, 11:05 am
The Falcons Touch Rugby League comes to a fitting climax this week, as all 27 teams bring the curtain down on their respective seasons.
This Thursday at Kingston Park host five separate competitions (Cup, Bowl, Plate, Vase and Trophy) with presentations and a free buffet for all teams in The Hiding Place bar at the culmination of the action.

The Falcons Touch Rugby League has grown in numbers each year with work teams, groups of mates and rugby clubs all contributing to the fun atmosphere while keeping fit and showing great team work skills.

The league is played with teams of six, containing both men and women, with both experienced players and total rugby novices.

It is just part of the Falcons’ Summer Of Touch, which continues on July 8 with the Tynemouth Beach Rugby Tournament.

Three places remain for teams to enter the competition, which runs from 12 noon to 5pm. For more information on this, or any of the Falcons touch competitions, please email Melanie.magee@newcastle-falcons.co.uk .
