| The event, which was launched last year, celebrates the history of the club whilst supporting the future of Newcastle Falcons by raising money for the Falcons Community Foundation and the Wooden Spoon.
This year’s event will also launch the start of the 2007/8 season and the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
Each year important figures in the club’s history are inducted into the Hall of Fame. This includes amateur players, past professional players and other key personnel from the club.
Last year Wilfred Farr, J Stanley Armstrong, Roger Uttley, Inga Tuigamala and Rob Andrew were all inducted into the Hall of Fame.
This season the evening will focus on the 1970s, with two key people from this era to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In addition, an amateur player and a past professional will also be inducted. The shortlist of past professionals on the Newcastle Falcons website for fans to cast their vote, choosing from the following Falcons greats: Tony Underwood, Dean Ryan, Pat Lam, Nick Popplewell, John Bentley, Alan Tait, Doddie Weir, George Graham, Gary Armstrong, Richard Arnold, Garath Archer and Peter Walton.
The evening is a black tie event with drinks reception, dinner, and presentations to each of the inductees. Tables are priced at £750 ex VAT with ten guests per table; tickets are available per person if required at £75 ex VAT.
