| The Falcons second string will travel over the Scottish border to face Jedforest RFC 1st XV on Friday August 17, reuniting the club with legendary scrum half Gary Armstrong who is on the Jed coaching staff.
On Saturday August 25 the Falcons will host National League 2 club Wharfedale at Kingston Park, with Newcastle keen to avenge their defeat in Yorkshire last season in Ian Peel’s benefit match. The exact kick-off time is to be confirmed, but this will be an afternoon fixture with free entry to the ground.
The final outing before the start of the new season comes in the form of an Under-20s game against Leeds Tykes at Kingston Park on Saturday September 2, again with an afternoon kick-off.
The Falcons first team will announce its pre-season matches in the coming weeks, with the club already confirmed in the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham on Saturday August 18.
