David Wilson in full flow

There was somewhat of a Falcons reunion at England training this week, as Six Nations centre Jamie Noon trained against clubmates Toby Flood and David Wilson.
The pair are preparing with the England Under-21s squad in preparation for Friday’s clash against their French counterparts, with Noon saying: “We trained against the 21s yesterday and there were a couple of my Newcastle team mates out there.”

Speaking on the attributes of his fellow Falcons, who have both earned Premiership experience this season, he added: “Toby is a good all round player, he has the skills and the physicality to be a menace to the French.

“Davey Wilson is good strong runner. He’s not afraid to take the ball forward and he’s very strong in defence even if he’s caught out wide. He plays a bit like a back row because he’s agile and has great natural strength.”

The Under-21s tackle France in Perigeux on Friday afternoon, while Noon and the rest of his senior England team mates must wait until Sunday afternoon for their crack at the French in Paris.
