Newcastle Falcons academy players Ross Samson and Lewis Calder have been named in the Scotland Under-20s training squad.
Scrum half Samson and openside flanker Calder - son of Scotland Grand Slam winner Jim Calder – will join up with the 30-strong group for training on November 30, as they prepare for the Under-20s Six Nations Championship.

Scotland under-20 head coach Colin Robertson said: “We will play against Glasgow’s back-up squad in December, and that will be an important match for us before we open our Six Nations campaign against France in February.

“It’s a big year for the under-20s with the IRB world championship at the end of the season in June.”
