| The Falcons have won all 20 European group matches in the competition at Kingston Park over the past ten years, and all but one of their five home knock-out games.
The list of 24 European Challenge Cup scalps at Kingston Park includes this Sunday's visitors, Connacht, who suffered an emphatic 23-3 quarter-final defeat to Newcastle in 2006.
“Our home record is a source of great pride to us, and we will be looking to extend it this Sunday for what is a huge game against a good Connacht side,” said Falcons director of rugby, John Fletcher.
“In all competitions only one club has beaten us at Kingston Park in the past 13 months, and we have never lost at home in a European Challenge Cup group game with 20 wins from 20.”
Asked the reasons for his side's continued home resilience, Fletcher said: “We get fantastic backing at every home game.
“Our fans are very loyal, extremely supportive of the team and we owe them a big performance – especially those who made the trip to Galway last Friday and witnessed a below-par display.
“Our home record shows that opposition teams do not like coming to Kingston Park, and with a big atmosphere on Sunday all Falcons supporters can come and play their part by getting behind the team. The lads appreciate your support enormously, and you can expect to see a much-improved level of performance this weekend.”
