| The call-up comes as a result of fellow Falcon David Wilson receiving a one-match ban for dangerous play in last Friday’s 31-13 victory over Ireland A.
Falcons forwards coach, Peter Walton, said: “Jon’s performances this season have fully merited his call-up to the Saxons.
“It is a shame that they have come in the circumstances they have, with Davey Wilson receiving a one-match ban, but it just goes to show the quality of young English forwards we have coming through at the club right now.”
