| Newcastle Falcons' links with Dutch rugby continue to grow, with the news that the club will send two teams on tour there in August. |
The Falcons Under-16s and 18s will both spend five days in the Netherlands from Monday August 25, with games against Castricum RFC in northern Holland on Wednesday August 27.
The matches form the focal point of Castricum's 40th anniversary celebrations, as Newcastle continues to build on its strong links with the Netherlands.
Dutch star Tim Visser's involvement in the Falcons squad has seen interest in the game rocket in Holland, with the Newcastle academy squad aiming to repeat the success of their tour to Ireland last season where they defeated Munster and Connacht without conceding a single try.
Upon their return from the Netherands, the Falcons Under-16s will take part in a six-team tournament in Leicester on Sunday August 31.
The opposition for that competition will be Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints, Worcester Warriors, Leeds Carnegie and Newport Gwent Dragons Under-16s. |
