| Newcastle Falcons and Cotton Traders are delighted to announce the biggest kit deal in the club's history. |
Cotton Traders have signed a four-year deal to become the Falcons' official kit suppliers, with the new strips to be unveiled on the club website this Friday at 12 noon.
Boasting a wealth of rugby experience, Cotton Traders are already kit suppliers to fellow Guinness Premiership sides Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks as well as the Barbarians .
The new home and away strips are being complemented by a charity third kit as the club continues its support for good causes, with supporters getting their first chance to see the team play in the new strip at the Middlesex Sevens next Saturday.
Replica shirts will be available in traditional cotton in both long and short sleeves, with a cotton ladies and tight-fit match authentic 'Hydrowick' jersey all being part of the range.
In addition, Cotton Traders are planning on opening a store in Newcastle city centre, which will be jointly branded as an official club outlet.
Falcons commercial director, Mick Hogan, said: “It's fantastic news for the club to have secured our biggest ever kit deal, and we look forward to working with what is one of the great names in rugby union.
“Cotton Traders have already formed extremely successful relationships with Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks over a number of years, and Falcons supporters will once again be able to enjoy traditional cotton replica shirts as part of what will be an extensive merchandise range.”
Steve Smith of Cotton Traders, said: “Newcastle Falcons represents an excellent addition to our stable of clubs, with the passion for rugby in the North-East and the fantastic support that the club enjoys in what is a great sporting region.
“We look forward to launching the new kits, and long-term towards opening a joint venture store in the city centre which will provide a great platform for both the Falcons and Cotton Traders.” |
