| Tane Tu'ipulotu warmed up for his pending move to Newcastle by helping his Wellington Lions team to the top of the Air New Zealand Cup table. |
The Tongan centre started in Albany as they claimed a thrilling 30-27 victory over North Harbour, where former Falcon Mark Mayerhofler is currently working as team video analyst.
Tu'ipulotu's Wellington team have a perfect two wins from two so far, both with bonus points, and continue their campaign at home to Counties Manukau on Friday.
Having concluded the Air New Zealand Cup campaign with Wellington, Tu'ipulotu will then arrive at Kingston Park on November 1 to take up his three-year deal with the Falcons. |
