| The Falcons' All Black prop joined in the fun at the recent filming of the trailer, being joined by Leicester's Lewis Moody, London Irish's David Paice, Sale's Stuart Turner and a cast of over 200 extras
The battle-scarred, sweating players face-off, linking together one-by-one to form a scrum preparing to engage. Soon, the scrum that begins on the pitch grows as the players are joined by fans including Elvis Presley, lollypop ladies and air hostesses, all swamping the field to ‘Be Part of It’.
There is a cameo appearance by ex-British & Irish Lion and Welsh legend Scott Quinnell, while the extras include members of Blackheath RFC, and children from Grasshoppers RFC.
The promotional trailers will be on-air from Wednesday 27 August and are scheduled to run across all Sky Sports channels until Sunday 7 September, when the Guinness Premiership season kicks off with a double-header, exclusively live on Sky Sports.
Sky Sports brings viewers rugby union throughout the calendar, with over 1,400 hours screened in the last year. The Guinness Premiership is offered to Sky+ HD viewers in high definition, and coverage also includes the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa, England’s Autumn Internationals, the Heineken Cup and southern hemisphere rugby including the Tri-Nations, Super 14s, Currie Cup and NPC, as well as age-grade and women’s matches.
