Newcastle Falcons' Fusiliers appeal has received Ministerial backing, with Nick Brown MP championing the club's fundraising effort.
Minister for the North East, Nick Brown MP, said: "We wish Newcastle Falcons and the Fusiliers all the best, for what is going to be a great day.

"The special fundraiser is for a very good cause, and I would urge everybody to give as generously as they can."

This Sunday sees Newcastle Falcons play host to London Wasps at Kingston Park (kick-off 3pm), with all adult tickets priced just £10 and juniors and concessions at £5.

The club is donating a percentage of every ticket sold to the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Northern Region, who will be in attendance on the day.

Should the Falcons win the game then prize money will also be donated, with supporters also able to get involved on the day via a bucket collection.

Match tickets are still available by calling 0871 226 60 60, or from Kingston Park on the day.
